Of your foliage
To keep me dry
When the rain
Won’t stop

I need the strength
Of your branches
To hold me up
When the winds
Blow me away

I need the warmth
Of your trunk
To wrap myself
Around
When I am
Cold and alone

I need the comfort
Of your roots
To keep me
Grounded
When life
Spins
Out of control

I need the haven
Of my
Sheltering tree
To keep
The pain
Away
So I can
Sleep
